Pru..Vir… Huw’s work for Ensemble Plus Ultra is being performed on their American tour and premieres tonight in Boston at St. Mary’s Chapel Boston college on 3pm February 14.

Huw’s work Bourrée Echo was premiered around Australia in May-June by cellist Richard Narroway as part of his project to tour Bach’s Cello Suite and new works in response by Australian composers. The Breath Between Us composed by Huw for string trio and an instrument of the same name (above) created by Artist Anita Larkin was premiered on April 14 by Jack Symonds, Mitchell Riley, Emily Irvine and members of the Australia Piano Quartet.

Sarabande – Invented in Hell, an orchestral work part of the same suite as Nahash premiered at the Sheldonian Theatre on the 9th of March at 8:00pm with the Oxford University Philharmonia under Huw’s baton. Oxford’s Professional Orchestra, the Oxford Philomusica will premiere Huw’s short work Nahash on February 21 at the Sheldonian Theatre at 7:30pm. More here.

The Festival Ensemble premieres Fakeries by Huw Belling at the 2014 St Magnus International Festival on the Orkney Isles. “Inspired by footage of an unbalanced washing machine shaking itself apart, Fakeries is a wash-cycle of invented folk dances that spins itself into oblivion.”
Manchester Chamber Choir will premiere Huw’s carol Lux Fulgebit Hodie on Saturday the 14th of December at 7.30pm Christ Church, Darley Avenue, West Didsbury. Tickets here.
